On 18 June, we officially opened the doors of our new branch in Didcot’s Orchard Centre, with Chief Executive Officer, Phillippa Cardno, and Mayor of Didcot, Councillor Jim Loder, cutting the ribbon.
The branch, which was originally based at 136 The Broadway for over forty years, is now located in the unit previously occupied by The Body Shop in The Orchard Centre. The refurbishment is the fifth of the our ten branches Berkshire, Hampshire, and Oxfordshire to be refurbished and/or relocated.
The new site features a larger banking hall, increased counter space, and double the amount of private meeting rooms for customer appointments. We have also extended our opening hours at the new branch and will now be open 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday (9.30am on Wednesdays), and 9.00am to 12.00pm on Saturdays.
The increased size of the branch and the extended opening hours reaffirm our commitment to in-persons savings and mortgage support on your high street, ensuring members both new and existing have access to cash and trusted advice in the places they live and work.
We’re thrilled to unveil our newly relocated and refurbished branch at The Orchard Centre. While the surroundings may be new, our dedication to delivering outstanding customer service (and passbooks!) remains exactly the same. What’s more, we’re extending our weekday opening hours, giving our valued members an extra hour Monday to Friday to visit and transact with us. We look forward to welcoming both familiar faces and new visitors to our fresh new space.
