Treasury Analyst
Location: Head office, Newbury
Hours: 25 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm (hybrid working available, minimum 2 days per week office based, once initial training completed)
Starting salary: £25,817.09
Target salary: £28,685.65
Interviews: 90-minute interview held in our head office in Newbury. We aim to interview successful applicants within 10 working days. Feedback will be provided regardless of the outcome. We reserve the right to close this vacancy at any point.
We're looking for a Treasury Analyst to join our small and supportive Treasury team.
Are you numerate and analytical with excellent attention to detail? If you have the curiosity and confidence to query and question, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
Full training will be provided as you develop your understanding of the legislative, regulatory and financial framework in which the Society operates, and build upon your knowledge of the financial markets and Assets and Liabilities Management.
What will you be doing?
You’ll use your communication skills to produce accurate minutes at the Assets & Liabilities Committee. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of people from Treasury and Finance as well as Senior Management.
Your main day to day activities will be to support the Head of Treasury in the management of the Society’s liquidity, wholesale funding, interest rate positions and treasury and ALM-related projects.

Essential skills and experience:

Academic background in mathematics or economics and/or work-based experience of Treasury or Accounting.

Curiosity and ability to problem solve.

Ability to interpret mathematical information and understand trends.

Competent in the use of Microsoft packages - with advanced Excel skills.

Organised, able to plan and take ownership for your workload.

Evidence of excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience of working with internal and/or external, customers to ensure the highest quality service experience.
Desirable skills and experience:

Prepared to study or studying towards relevant accounting or treasury-related qualification.

General understanding of the financial services industry.
